On the Map: Los Angeles, California
By: Teeanna I.
Only a true Los Angeles local would know about the North Hollywood Arts District and all it's glory. The Arts District offers a wide range of food choices, and serves as the Valley's go to cultural hub. It has an influx of dance studios, movie theaters, art galleries and acting workshops. North Hollywood and Hollywood are two very different cities separated by a border of mountains, but the Noho Arts District is just as eccentric as Hollywood Blvd. You'll find most retail activity along the triangle of streets between Lankershim Boulevard and Vineland Avenue—otherwise known as the NoHo Arts District.
I typically enjoy a drink at Pitfire Pizza. I also like to relax by the huge outdoor bonfire, while munching on an incredible slice of seafood pizza. If I'm out with a few friends, we like to go to Big Wangs, drink a beer and catch a game. The amount of things to do in the Arts District are endless! There's a nail salon, gym, thrift store and really everything you could ever need. If you're looking to visit Los Angeles and don't want to be surrounded by tourist, head down to the North Hollywood Arts District and indulge in the culture.
